She was born on April 14, 1937, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Howard L. and Mary A. Richards Aleshire.
Mrs. Griffith worked for Wal-Mart and was a member of the Mount Carmel Regular Baptist Church.
On Aril 2, 1966, she married Scotty Wayne Griffith, who survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Hope G. Campbell of Disputanta, and Joy Parks of Charlottesville; a son, Kevin "Tink" Griffith of Appleton, Wis.; two brothers, Grafton L. Aleshire of Gambrills, Md., and Howard L. Aleshire of Stanley; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, at the Mount Carmel Regular Baptist Church by Pastor Buddy L. Caviness. Burial will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Luray.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. on Friday, April 22, at the Bradley Funeral Home.
