Ora "Pont" Bailey of St. Louis, for many years a resident of Martinsville, died at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in St. Louis, according to a telegram received by his brother, John Bailey, of this city.
In ill health for the last two years, Mr. Bailey's death resulted from a heart attack.
Funeral arrangements were not learned here.
The son of Wesley and Hannah Bailey, he was born in Morgan County where he spent the greater part of his life.
He leaves his wife, two sons, and a daughter, Howard Bailey, near Paragon, Arthur Bailey in New Jersey, and Mrs. Mary Merriman, east of Martinsville. Also surviving him are several grandchildren, three brothers and a sister, John Bailey of Martinsville, Joe Bailey of Indianapolis, Otis Bailey of New Castle, and Mrs. Edith Woods of Miami, Fla.
