H.C. Lineberry, 87
Harden C. Lineberry, 87, of Rt. 1, Austinville, died in Twin County Community Hospital Monday, Sept. 24, 1984.
He was born in Carroll County Dec. 27, 1897, to William Lineberry and Frances Lineberry Lineberry. He was a veteran of World War I.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Juda Lineberry; four sons, Arland E. Lineberry and William A. Lineberry, both of Austinville; Leo H. Lineberry, Bassett, and Donald J. Lineberry, Martinsville; six daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Delphia) Rotenizer and Mrs. Foy (Joyce)
Surratt, both of Austinville; Mrs. Cecil (Lois) Hundley and Mrs. Cecil (Dorothy) Horton, both of Hillsville; Mrs. Rufus (Lou) Alexander, Collinsville, and Mrs. Basil (Velda) Myers, Ridgeway, (one daughter, Mrs. Josie Newman, is deceased); 30 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
The funeral was conducted Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 2 p.m. in the Coulson Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Russell Payne and the Rev. Roy McVey officiated.
Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Home, Hillsville, handled arrangements.
