Iva Louree (Lou) Alexander, 75, of Collinsville, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, N.C., part of Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care. She was born in Carroll County on April 30, 1941 to the late Harden Cornelius Lineberry and Juda Dalton Lineberry. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Delphia L. Rotenizer, Josie L. Newman, and Lois L. Hundley; and five brothers, William Lineberry, Arlan Lineberry, Leo Lineberry, Donald Lineberry, and Cornelius Lineberry.

Iva "Lou" was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She had worked at Martin Processing Company for sixteen years as a Lab Technician, Sales Clerk at Angie's Dress Shop, and an inventory control clerk at Bassett Mirror Company for fourteen years.

She is survived by a daughter, Angie Boscan and son-in-law Saul Boscan of Christiansburg, Va.; three sisters and brother-in-law, Joyce Surratt and Dorothy Horton of Carroll County and Velda and Basil Myers of Ridgeway, Va. She has five grandchildren and their spouses, Andrew and Isa Thompson, April and Jody Ferguson, Logan Thompson, Leah Thompson, Nicholas Cumby-Boscan; two great-grandsons, Sawyer Ferguson and Alexander Thompson; and many special nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Pastor Doug Ramsey and Pastor Derek Futrell officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Private family interment will be at Roselawn Burial Park on Monday, August 15, 2016.
