George Albert Magrum was the son of Francis Xavier "Sophrey" Magrum who died (drowned) when he was a baby. He was an editor and printer by trade and co-owner of the Fremont Courier Newspaper. He resided at the corner of Wood & Napoleon Street in Fremont. He married Christina Richwein of Cleveland on June 4, 1902.
