She had been married before to a Mr. Thrift with whom she had children.

GEORGETOWN, Fla. -- Mildred Barnard Hardin, 74, died Sept. 9 in Manassas, Ga. She was a native of Tattnall County, Ga. and had lived in Georgetown, Fla. since 1960. She was a homemaker and member of St. Marks Episcopal Church in Marco Island, Fla.

SURVIVORS: her husband, Doyle E. Hardin of Georgetown, Fla.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Laurie Thrift of Lake Geneva and Vann B. and Melanie Hardin of Jacksonville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie and Bill Wiley of Jacksonville and Sheryl and Tim Duffy of Marco Island; four sisters, Willouise Rogers of Manassas, Ga., Nona McGregor and Wilma Eason of Reidsville, Ga. and Bessie Overstreet of Twin City, Ga.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL: 11 a.m. today at Manassas United Methodist Church in Manassas, Ga., burial in Rogers Chapel Cemetery. -Savannah Now, Sept 1999
