Ray Hamilton Alley, 86, of Mooresville, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004, at Brian Center Health & Rehabilitation. Born Feb. 13, 1918, in Mecklenburg County, he was a son of the late Grover Cleveland and Emma Malcolm Alley. He was a retired employee of Templon of Mooresville. Mr. Alley was a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Army and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of Boulevard Chapel Ministries in Kannapolis.
Mr. Alley is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marjorie Deal Alley. Also surviving are his children, Larry Ray Alley, Sr., and Frankie Alley Blevins, both of Mooresville, and Dennis Eugene Alley of Troutman; brother, Paul Junior Alley of Charlotte; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, Dec. 8, at the CavinCook Funeral Home Chapel, Mooresville, with Rev. Danny R. Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Boulevard Chapel Ministries Building Fund, 2700 Pennsylvania Avenue, Kannapolis, NC 28021 and/or Statesville Dialysis Center, Inc., 627 Signal Hill Drive Extension, Statesville, NC 28677.
