Mr. Bash graduated from The Ohio State University in 1936 with a B.Sc. degree in agriculture. He taught Vo-Ag in several high schools within Hancock County. He received a M.Sc. degree in animal husbandry from Michigan State University in 1939, where he met his wife Marjorie. He worked for the Union Central Life Insurance Co. and the John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Co. as a farm manager. Mr. Bash was a partner/owner of Inbody-Bash Realty Co. of Findlay from 1952-1966. He then formed the Bash Realty Appraisal Co. which he operated until his retirement at age 87.
He was a member of The Appraisal Institute, The American Right of Way Association, the Ohio Chapter of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers, the Knights of Columbus and Saint Michael the Archangel parish. He was a past president of the Findlay Board of Realtors and the Liberty Benton School Board.
Visitation will be held at the Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, Friday, October 13, from 4-8 p.m. with the rosary being recited at 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (Downtown) at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 14, with Father Michael Hohenbrink presiding. Burial will be in Saint Michael Cemetery following the Mass. Memorials may be made to the Saint Michael the Archangel Completing the Vision campaign or to a charity of the donor's choice.
