His remains, together with his mother's, were moved in 1851 to the Agnes Irwin family plot and buried together. The original burial was most likely at the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery were the Irwins worshiped. The cemetery which was adjacent the still existing Trinity Church Cemetery was moved ca. 1850 when a new church was built.
