Earl was the son of Myron and Viola Jewell George. He left home at an early age and went east. He was fond of horses and at one time was a jockey. After an absence of 4 years, he returned to Central City. He married Nettie May Miller Oct 19, 1908 in Sommerset, Penn. She was born Nov 19, 1882 at Akron, Ohio. He and 2 brothers operated the Valley Farm Creamery in Central City. He returned to Springville in 1932 and served on the Springville school board for 12 years. They had 1 daughter, Doris Julia born Feb 20, 1920. Both Earl and Nettie are buried at the Springville Cemetery.
