Judge William Mack Allison was the son of Matthew and Mary Jane Eblen Allison; the husband of Louisa Mae Freestone Allison; and the father of Matthew F., Frank R., Fannie L., Benjamin R., Sallie L., Mary J., William M., James E., Ross D., and Allan A. Allison.

Judge Allison was a lawyer and was elected twice District Judge for the 33rd Judicial District. He was Past Master of the San Saba Masonic Lodge #612 in 1888, 1889 and 1890, and was a veteran of the Civil War.
