Louis Moebus Dies, Aged 79
Louis F. Moebus, 79, of 124 S. Metcalf St., retired musician, and father of retired Vice Adm. Lucian Moebus, died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital after a one-year illness.
A native of Van Wert, he had lived in Lima the last 45 years. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War.
Surviving are his widow, Norma; his son, Adm. Moebus, living in Opp, Ala., two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The body will remain in the Chiles & Son Funeral Home for services at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. James Thompson will officiate and burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
The family suggests that those who wish, instead of sending flowers, contribute to the Lima Convalescent Home fund.
