LeRoy, son of Carl (Charlie) and Emma (Jante) Hollatz, was born August 20, 1918, Garner, Iowa. LeRoy was baptized in 1918 and confirmed in 1932 at St. John's Lutheran Church.
LeRoy married Agnes Pueggel, daughter of Gustav and Louise (Dorrow) Pueggel, in 1940 at St.John's Lutheran Church. Agnes was baptized in 1918 and confirmed in 1932 at St.John's. Agnes died March 13, 1964, and was buried in St.John's cemetery.
LeRoy married Ann Severson in 1966.
They are the parents of: Gary Lee, born January 27. 1943, Garner, Iowa, and married to Sharon Dooreboss; and Stephen born November 30, 1946, at Garner, Iowa.
LeRoy served as the first Sunday school superintendent in the 40's, as chairman for the engtry way construction in the front of the church, as deacon, and as a committee member of the Perpetual Care at St.John's cemetery.
LeRoy passed to his reward in 2004 and is buried in St. John's cemetery.
