A marriage license was issued by the Boone County Clerk's Office on November 23, 1918 for Charley Aliff, age 20 b. Logan to wed Nettie Jarrell, age 20, but it was apparently returned "Not Used".
A marriage license was also issued by the Kanawha County Clerk's Office on October 4, 1920 for Charley Aliff, age 22, born Logan County and Nettie Jarrell, age 23, b. Boone County. It was also returned "Not Used" to the Kanawha County Clerk's office.
In between, Charley & Nettie had a daughter together: Leola Arbutus Aliff, born March 13, 1919.
