The Glasco Sun, 27 Mar 1919: Mrs. James Worley died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Boyer, in this city Monday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock after a two week illness with pneumonia.
Mr. and Mrs. Worley lived on a farm a few miles from Norway, Kansas. When Mrs. Worley became ill she requested she be brought to the home of her parents where she could be nearer a doctor and receive better care. All the medical aide and constant care and attention for the sufferer was done but complications set in which could not be overcome and she passed away shortly after noon Monday.
Opha Lenia Boyer was born on November 28, 2889, in Higginsville, MO. She received her education in the public schools of that locality and at the age of 15 years professed religion and joined the Baptist Church which membership she did not transfer because there was no Baptist Church in Glasco.
She came to Glasco with her parents January 7, 1911, and lived here until her marriage on October 24, 1917, to Mr. James Worley. Since her marriage she has resided with her husband on a farm near Norway, Kansas.
The deceased is survived by her husband, Mr. James Worley; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Boyer; three sisters, Ruby of Rush, Colorado, Ferne and Fannie of the home; and two brothers, Omer and Leon who are at home. She leaves also a host of friends to mourn her untimely death.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home, conducted by Rev. Dussair of the First M.E. Church. Burial was in Glasco Cemetery. The husband, parents and family have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community in their sorrow.
