Albert Smothers, the well known stock buyer, residing in Bascom died at his home in that village Thurs. after an illness of one week. He was aged 55 yrs. and leaves a widow, Melissa, one son, Earl, aged 15 and a daughter, Mrs. Lewis Cline, who also resides in Bascom. The deceased was afflicted with paralsis of the brain and was ill but a week. Few men were better known or more highly respected in his community than was Albert Smothers. He was of the K.O.T.M. Lodge of that place & also of Pickwick Lodge No. 15 of this city & he will be buried under the auspices of these orders. Funeral services were held Sat. in Bascom U.B.Church of which he was a member. The interment Bascom Cemy.
