Services for Arthur H. Almendinger, 62, of 328 Fairview av., West Chicago, a former mayor of West Chicago, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First Methodist church of West Chicago. Mr. Almendinger, an electrical contractor for 30 years, died Friday in Del Nor [sic, recte Delnor] hospital, St. Charles. He was mayor of West Chicago from 1935 to 1938 and supervisor of Winfield township from 1939 until his death. He was a member of the DuPage county liquor commission, forest preserve commission, and county farm convalescent home committee, and chairman of the county's road commission and building committee. His widow, Leona, survives.
