John Beiter was born August 10, 1849, the eldest son of Nicholas and Maria (Bieger) Beiter. He was baptized in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Buffalo.

He married Mary Magdalena Wolf on May 28, 1872 in St. Ann's Catholic Church in Buffalo. The couple had 13 children.

John died March 24, 1926. He is buried with his wife and many other members of his family.
