Alexander Breech Jr., a native and lifelong resident of Mt. Vernon, died Wednesday. He was 77.
He was a member of St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Church, a retired employee of Barry Steam Plant and a World War II veteran.
His survivors include nine children, Mack L. Smith Jr., Alexis M. Osborne, Anthony K. Breech, M. Cassandra Breech, Eric M. Breech, Phillip O. Breech, Daniel H. Breech, Alan D. Breech and Edris L. Breech; two sisters, Naomi Bradley and Bessie L. Edwards; and 11 grandchildren.
Visitation and the Rosary will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Church. The mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Roper Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Church. Arrangements are by Christian Benevolent Funeral Home.
