Therese B. Weber, 73, of 711 Giddings Ave., Sheboygan Falls, died at her home on Friday, July 13, 2001.

She was born March 17, 1928 in Campbellsport, Wis., the daughter of the late Matthias and Maria (Berg) Schlaefer. Therese graduated from St. Mary Springs Academy in Fond du Lac in 1946; graduated from Alverno College and Silver Lake College with bachelor's degrees and from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay with a master's degree.

Therese married Dr. Robert Weber on Sept. 1, 1951 in Campbellsport.

Tess was unaccomplished pianist and instructed at St. Mary's Catholic Parish as well as private students from her home, the Weber Piano Studio, for many years until her retirement in 2000. She taught music for 30 years in the Sheboygan Public Schools and Silver Lake College before retiring in 1990.

She was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish of Sheboygan Falls where she played in the bell choir. Therese was also a member of St. Vincent de Paul Society. Friends of the Library and the Music Teacher Association.

Mrs. Weber taught for the Literacy Council in Sheboygan in addition to her love for piano accompanying. Tess also enjoyed puzzles, knitting, reading and gardening.

Survivors include her husband Dr. Robert Weber; four daughters, Mary Weber (Mike Sullivan) of Arlington Heights, Ill., Dr. Barbara Weber of Sheboygan Falls, Jane (Scott) Weber-Vos of Burlington, Ruth (Carl) Paul of Germantown; four sons, Dr. Paul (Rae_Ellen) Weber of Sheboygan Falls, Peter (Debbie) Weber of Sheboygan Falls, John (Terri) Weber of Sheboygan, Luke (Linda Nelson) Weber of Milwaukee; 14 grandchildren, Maureen Sullivan, Sam, Max and Mitchell Vos, Simon and Emily Paul, Nathan, Rachel, Perry, Rob, James, Holly, Sara, Austin Weber; three sisters, Mary Schlaefer of Sussex, Sr. Cecelia Schlaefer DSA DMA of Mesa, Ariz., and Rose (Bill) Dreyer of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one brother, Dr. Anthony Schlaefer o Campbellsport.

In addition to her parents, two brothers, Fr. Austin Schlaefer and Bishop Salvador Berg-Schlaefer, preceded Therese in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 16, 2001, at 7 p.m. at Blessed Trinity Parish with the Rev. Paul Lippert, presiding.

Friends may call at the church on Monday from 2 p.m. until the time of the Mass.

A memorial fund will be established in Therese's name for the Nicaraguan Mission Fund, St. Vincent de Paul, Blessed Trinity Music Ministry, Blessed Trinity Endowment Fund and the St. Nicholas Home Care and Hospice.

The Wenig Funeral Home of Sheboygan Falls is serving the family.
