She was born September 3, 1893 in Poland, the daughter of the late John and Pauline (Schulta) Wierzba.
On November 11, 1912 Julia was united in marriage to Julian Stroik in Bevent. He survives.
In addition to her husband, survivors include seven sons, Anton (Emily), Wittenberg, Leo (Adeline), Milwaukee, Stanley, Schofield, Frank and Victor, both of South Milwaukee, Walter (Christine) Cudahy and Raymond (Pat), Hatley; two daughters, Esther (Earl) Steinke and Emily (Anton) Filtz, South Milwaukee; two brothers, Nick (Rose) Wierzba, Hatley and Frank Wierzba, Rosholt; three sisters, Sadie Lemke, St. Paul, MN, Gertrude Wryczc, Schofield and Valeria Filtz, Iola; many grandchildren.Julia was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Felix and a grandson, Chester in infancy.
Funeral services were held September 18, 1967 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galloway. The Rev. Stanley Krakowiecki officiated. Interment was in Galloway Cemetery.
