Obituary:
Julian Stroik, age 95, Wittenberg, town of Germania, died June 5, 1986 at his home.
He was born March 27, 1891 in the town of Sharon, Portage County, the son of the late Joseph and Frances (Lasinski) Stroik.
On November 11, 1912 Julian was united in marriage to Julia Wierzba in Bevent. She preceded him in death in September 1967.
Survivors include two daughters, Esther Steinke, Wausau and Emily (Anton) Filtz, Eagle River; seven sons, Anton (Emily), Wittenberg, Leo (Adeline), South Milwaukee, Stanley, Schofield, Frank, Cudahy, Walter (Christine), Wittenberg, Raymond (Pat), Wittenberg and Victor, Oak Creek; 49 grandchildren and 63 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, Julian was preceded in death by one son, Felix, two grandsons, Chester in infancy and Roderick, one brother, three sisters, seven step-sisters and three step-brothers.
Funeral services were held June 9, 1986 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galloway. The Rev. Herbert Zoromski officiated. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
