The Bulloch County native was a World War II veteran and a member of Bryan County Primitive Baptist Church. He was a retired civil service worker.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Betty Clanton Floyd of Pembroke of Pembroke; two sons, Danny Floyd of Atlanta and Mark Floyd of Pembroke; three daughters, Mrs. Beverly F. Lewis of Pembroke, Mrs. Kathy Rode of Eldora and Mrs. Janice Welch of Bloomingdale; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Heagle of Cranberry, N.J., and Mrs. Bonnie Purcell of Wildwood, Fla.; and 13 grandchildren.
