WAYMAN "BILL" LOLMAUGH OF BEACH PARK
Wayman "Bill" Lolmaugh of Beach Park, Illinois died Friday, October 3, 1997
at Victory Memorial Hospital.
He was 91.
Born in Iron Mountain, Michigan in 1906, Wayman was raised and educated in
Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
As a young adult, he moved to Kenosha, Wisconsin to become a
bricklayer/contractor.
He was the founder of Hometown Roofers and later ran the business as Modern
Home Builders with his sons.
He later owned and operated Bill's Concrete.
During World War II, Wayman worked for the government constructing buildings
at various military bases throughout the country.
In his retirement through his early 80's he crafted residential decks.
Wayman was a life member of the International Union of Bricklayers and
Allied Craftworkers.
He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and also enjoyed fishing and gardening.
He will be cherished in the hearts of his wife, Marie of 71 years, his sons,
Jerry (Sharon) Lolmaugh of Round Lake Park, IL, and Jack Lolmaugh of
Waukegan, IL; his grandchildren, Sandy (Denny) Demith of Beach Park, Guy
(Patti) Lolmaugh of Antioch, IL, Susan (Tim) Spivey of Beach Park, Nancy
(John) Drysdale of Waukegan, and Linda (Tony) Krause of Beach Park; his
great-grandchildren, Beth (Jon) Van Dyke, Jenny Lolmaugh, Crissy Lolmaugh,
Brian Lolmaugh, Becky Lolmaugh, Becky Shaver, Heidi Shaver, Kim Shaver, and
Johnny Spivey.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Marcella Van Parys and his
daughters-in-law, Audrey and Peg.
A memorial service in his honor will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday,
October 11, 1997 at Faith United Methodist Church, 414 McAree Road,
Waukegan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Faith United Methodist Church Building
Fund would be appreciated.
