PROMINENT PLANTER OF MER ROUGE DIES AFTER BRIEF ILLNESS
Vivian Guy Bowe Dies On Wednesday, Nov. 18 In Monroe Hospital
Vivian Guy Bowe, aged 39, prominent planter and live stock dealer of Mer Rouge, died Wednesday, November 18, 1936, following a brief illness at a Monroe sanitarium. Mr. Bowe had lived in Mer Rouge for many years and was known throughout the parish.

Funeral services conducted by Rev. J. A. McCormick, pastor of the Methodist Church of Mer Rouge, were held Thursday afternoon at the Bonne Idee Community Church. Interment followed at the Bonne Idee Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: E. P. Echols, Turpin Davidson, M. E. Plummer, Sam Ogden,
J. D. Hanks, Ross Graves, W. W. Barnes, Sedrick "Skeeter" Daniels
