Lucille Bledsoe 98, of Big Spring died Sunday, April 10, 2011, at her residence. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Gorman Cemetery in Gorman, Texas.

She was born March 2, 1913 in Gorman, Texas to Dora and Albert Grice.

She married Blake Oliver Bledsoe, July 11, 1936. They came to Big Spring in 1955 from Gorman. He preceded her in death on January 8, 1971.

She was a homemaker and a member of Family Faith Center.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, cook and seamstress. She was always there and we will be eternally grateful she was our mother.

She is survived by three sons: Wade Bledsoe of Big Spring, Benny Bledsoe and his wife Barber of Lubbock, and Wayne "Boliver" Bledsoe and his wife Nancy of Comanche; three daughters: Joan Self and her husband Jim of Big Spring, Dorene Bledsoe Sanchez and her husband Jose, and Mackie Hinrickson and her husband LaMoyne, all of Las Vegas; eleven grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by an infant daughter: Marta Marie Bledsoe; one granddaughter: Charlene Adell Bledsoe; two sisters and two brothers.

Arrangements are by Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
