Wade Bledsoe, 86, died Saturday, October 21, 2023.

Visitation will be 9 AM until 9 PM Tuesday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 10 AM Wednesday at Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel.

Wade was born on October 15, 1937 in Gorman, TX to Lucille Grice Bledsoe & Blake Bledsoe.

He graduated from Pyote High School in 1955 and joined the Navy, serving from 1955 until 1962.

He moved to Big Spring, TX after leaving the Navy.

He was a member of Family Faith Church.

Wade worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 38 years.

He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers, Chapter 1891. He served as president.

He was an avid bowler; he was in many state tournaments.

He loved playing bridge.

He was a devoted Christian & Faithful Church Member.

"Pap" was dedicated to his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved attending their activities & ball games.

Wade is survived by 3 daughters: Galynn Gamble (Terry) of Big Spring, Jan Brady (Michael) of Haskell, & Linda Hollingsworth of Abilene; 8 grandchildren: Rusty Duke, Kaci Edwards, Chris Evans, Amie Greer, Angie East, Matthew Gamble, Kaleb Hollingsworth, & Hayden Hollingsworth; numerous great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren; 5 siblings: Joann Self of Big Spring; Mackie Hendrickson, Dorene Sanchez both of Las Vegas, Boliver Bledsoe of Comanche, & Benny Bledsoe of Lubbock.

Wade was preceded in death by his parents; and Gayle Bledsoe, the mother of his 3 daughters.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Rusty Duke, Chris Evans, Matthew Gamble, Nathan Greer, Stephen East, Chris Minter, Hayden Hollingsworth, & Kaleb Hollingsworth.
