George Edward Eason, age 83, died December 10, 1996. He leaves behind a life full of activity, loving family and service to his fellowman.

Born January 26, 1913 in McGill, Nevada, the son of Edward Arthur and Eveline Maude Cantwell Eason.

He had very active and interesting years growing up, culminating in an LDS mission to the Hawaiian Islands. He married Beth Anderson on June 16, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He first studied at UCLA and then graduated from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic Medicine. He later extended his license into Nathuropathy and miner surgery. For 53 years he loved to go to his office and help his patients with their difficulties. Some of his patients became some of his best friends and they had great difficulty seeing him retire. He was a marvelous husband, father, grandfather and confidante, with a delightful sense of humor.

Next to his family and his work he loved his service in the Salt Lake Temple where he worked for 21 years. In addition to his temple work, he served in many leadership positions in the church including serving on two stake high councils and in the Wells Stake Presidency. At the time of his death he was serving as an instructor in his high priests group.

He is survived by his wife Beth, His children Adria and Jim Skaggs, Thermopolis, Wyoming; Richard and Phoebe Eason, Salt Lake City; 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. A brother, Ted Eason, Texas and a sister, Evelyn (Charles) Griffin, California.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle E. White and her son, also a brother, Frank Eason.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 14, at 12 noon in the South Cottonwood 2nd Ward, 981 East 5600 South. Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Friday 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the ward 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. Interment, in Larkin Sunset Gardens, Sandy, Utah.

George loved to have fun and really enjoyed life. He will be missed very much.
