A Mass of Christian Burial for John P. Monago Sr., 75, who owned and operated Monago's Floor and Wall Covering store for 36 years, was offered Monday in St. Bernard's Catholic Church. Burial was in St. Bernard's Cemetery. Monago died Saturday (Nov. 24, 1990) in the Bradford Ecumenical Home. He was a 1933 graduate of St. Bernard High School and an Army veteran of World War II. Monago was a member of St. Bernard's Church; LaStella Lodge, Italian American Club; the Italian Mutual Aid Society of Lewis Run, and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in Olean, N.Y. Survivors include three sons, John P. Jr. of Lewiston, N.Y., Joseph J. of Corning, N.Y., and David M.; two sisters, Mary Franco and Josephine Piscitelli, both of Lewis Run; a brother, Guy, and six grandchildren.
