Lillian Abernathy, 80, of Newport died Sunday January 11,
2004 in a Jonesboro hospital.
She was a homemaker and a member of Southside Baptist
Church in Newport.
She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin "Mutt"
Abernathy, one son, Tommy Abernathy, and parents Benjamin
and Oshie Greer.
She is survived by two sons, Dean Abernathy and Danny Joe
Abernathy both of Newport, three grandchildren, Deanna
Abernathy of Beebe, Cindy Abernathy of Sherwood, and
Matthew Abernathy of Batesville, two great grandchildren,
Josh Abernathy Reid of Searcy and Matthew "Matt" Abernathy
of Batesville.
Funeral services were Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Dillinger's
Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
