She made her screen debut in "The Last Angry Man" (1959), followed by "A Raisin in the Sun" (1961) and "Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry" (1978). For television, she appeared on the series "The DuPont Show of the Month", "The Nurses" and in the TV movie "Roots: The Next Generations" (1979).
