Lloyd L. Baer, 92, died on Monday, January 29, 2007 at his home. He was the husband of Myrtle V. (Therit) Baer who preceded him in death on January 14, 1994. A private funeral service for Lloyd will be held at Irwin Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove with his pastor, the Rev. Lisa A. Hair officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his wife in St. Jacob's Union Cemetery in York New Salem. Lloyd was born January 12, 1915 in North Codorus Township, a son of the late Lloyd C. and Kate M. (Henry) Baer. He retired in 1977 from the Eyster-Weiser Foundry in York after 44 years of loyal employment. Following his retirement, he continued in the work force for several years as custodian at York New Salem Elementary School. He was a member of St. Jacob's Lutheran Church in York New Salem. Lloyd is survived by a brother, Wayne S. Baer of Middleburg, Union County, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, and two sisters.
