Dora Bell Baker was born January 19, 1883 in Blossom, Texas to James R. Baker and Margaret E. White. On September 9, 1903 in Sevier County, Arkansas, Dora married Samuel Andrew Little. They would have 6 children together; Jessie Mae, James Henry, John Kelly, Gertrude Edna, Charlie Andrew and Frances Lucille. Dora would lose her husband in 1916 and would eventually marry their friend and farm hand, William Franklin McPherson, December 8, 1918. She would have two more children with William, Bart Edward McPherson and Homer Lee McPherson. Dora would lose her son, John Kelly to appendicitis in 1921 and her second husband, William in 1947. She would end up moving across the street from her daughter, Jessie Mae and her husband, Lloyd Kidd in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Her brother, Charlie Henry Baker would also come to live with her. She developed heart disease and died on December 2, 1965. She was 82 years of age. Dora is buried next to her brother Charlie Henry Baker in Belleville Cemetery, Lockesburg, Arkansas.
