DOBBS, EDITH TERRY, 80 Chauncey, GA - Mrs. Edith Terry Dobbs, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2007 at Heartland Hospice House in Macon, after an extended illness. Graveside services will be held Monday, Feb. 5 at 1PM from Highland Park Cemetery in Ocala, FL, visitation will begin at 12:30 PM with Rev. Rick Brown conducting the services. A special thanks to Dr. Fernando & Staff, Heartland Hospice House & Staff, Dr. Mark Griffis & Staff & Appling Convalescent Center. She is survived by a daughter and son in law, Joanne & W. C. Atkins of Chauncey; three sons and daughters in law, Jimmy & Linda Dobbs of Gray, David & Libby Dobbs of Ocala, FL and Joey & Lois Dobbs of Prosperity, S.C.; 3 sisters, & brothers in law, Nigel & Curtis Thornton of Brandon, FL, Nick & James Atkinson of Suwanee, FL and Imogene Davenport of N.C.; one brother, Edison Terry of Plant City, FL; 18 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 2 Great, great grandchildren; and a special friend, Bill Harden. Mrs. Dobbs was born, June 25, 1926 to the late Elmer & Sally Mae Smith Terry, she had lived in Ocala, FL, but had spent the last 20 years in Baxley. She was a homemaker, loving wife, loving mother and grandmother. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 26. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Andrew Dobbs, sisters, Geraldine Hampton & Lennie Davenport, brothers Leon, Edgar, & Elmer Terry. Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 6 until 8PM at Swain Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Heartland Hospice House, In memory of Edith Dobbs, 115 Arkwright Landing, Macon, GA 31210. The family will Assemble at the home of Odell & Brenda Higgins, 236 Moody St. Arrangements by SWAIN FUNERAL HOME.
