Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Alice Jones, 53, of 506 South Mesa, will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Fox and Lake Church of Christ, Ernest A. Finley and Loya C. Ruckman will officiate and burial will be at Sunset Gardens.
Mrs. Jones was born May 15, 1902, at Center, Tex. She was a 1936 graduate of the University of Texas, and in that same year was married to W.O. (Hawk) Jones at Longview.
The couple came to Carlsbad in 1937, and for the past 10 years Mrs. Jones had been a Spanish teacher at Eisenhower Junior high school.
A member of the Church of Christ, Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband and three brothers.
The body will lie in state at the West Funeral Home until 10 a.m., Wednesday at which time the body will be taken to the church for services.
