Nov 15, 1983 - Carroll Daily times - LIDDERDALE — Funeral services for Frederick Herman Pluckhahn, 72, of Lidderdale, who died Monday, November 14, at Shady Oaks Nursing Home in Lake City, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 16, at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with the Rev. Edgar Rosen, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran church of Lidderdale, officiating. Mrs. Don Hansen will be organist and Marvin Toft vocalist. Burial will be in the Carroll cemetery. Serving as casketbearers will be Arby Neppel, Elmer Fricke, Elmer Dentlinger, Joe Kennebeck, Ron Fricke and Paul Fricke. Friends may call at the Carroll funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Mr. Pluckhahn, a retired farmer, is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Claud (Sondra) Wallice, Riverside, Calif.; a son, John, rural Glidden; four grandchildren: Scott Knudtson, Lisa Knudtson, Claudette Wallice, and Lon
Pluckhahn; and a brother, Clarence Pluckhahn, Carroll.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife in 1962, a brother, Wilbur: a sister, Lillian, and a grandson, Christopher.

Mr. Pluckhahn was born November 15, 1910, at Carroll, a son of Frederick Carl William and Myrtle Maria Booth Pluckhahn. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. On June 17, 1936, he was married to Erma Hartwigsen at Shenandoah. He farmed near Carroll from 1936 to 1972, when he moved into Lidderdale. He had been a resident of the Lake City nursing home since April of this year.
