WAKE FOREST, N.C. -- The Rev. Robert Ray Botts Sr., 48, died Oct. 31 at home. He was a native of Elkhart, Ind., and a retired Southern Baptist minister. He was a member of Wake Union Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary at Wake Forest and a Navy veteran of Vietnam. SURVIVORS: his wife, Gail Hall Botts of Wake Forest; three daughters, Sarah and McKenzie Botts, both of Wake Forest, and Christina Botts of St. Paul, Minn.; two sons, Philip Botts of Wake Forest and Robert Ray Botts III of Minnesota; his mother, Joyce Botts of Elkhart, Ind.; a brother, Stephen Botts of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Linda Lindsey of Burley, Idaho, and Sue Richter of Elkhart; a number of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
VISITATION: 7-9 p.m. today at Thomas C. Strickland Funeral Home, Effingham Chapel.
FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Elam-Egypt Baptist Church, burial in Elam-Egypt Baptist Church Cemetery.
