Lucie Juliet Blackmonm or "Jack" as she was best known, was the daughter of Judge Augustus Monroe Blackmon and Lula Belle Camp. She was nicknamed JACK because her father wanted a son. She was the oldest of four daughters who were well know in the county for their beauty.

On June 11, 1959 she married Thomas Young Pickett, an engineer and the son of Charise F Pickett and Rosa Mock. The couple had one child:
*Juliette Jayne Pickett (1930-2014)
