BIRTH: 7 June 1944, Floresville, Wilson County, Texas.

SCHOOLS: 1962 Graduated from Luther Burbank High School. 1967 - Graduated from Texas State University, with degrees in biology and English.

JOB: "After graduation, Judy worked with small animals at the Biomedical Research Center at the Southwest Foundation for Research and Education." (Obit)

RESIDED: "Judy spent most of her married life in Michigan." (Obit)

HUSB: William died 2 March 1995, in Lansing, Ingham Co., Michigan. His body was buried next to his mother in Brookside Cemetery, Watertown, Jefferson Co., NY.

EVENT: After William's death Judiy returned to her roots in San Antonio, where she worked at the University of Texas of San Antonio until retirement in 2007. (Obit)

COLOR: "Judy enjoyed music, sang in various choirs, and loved playing her piano. Her varied interests included animals (she had several), creative writing, her cottage on Wee Island in the Thousand Islands, yard sales, and spending fun time with her many friends." (Obit)

EVENT: Judy posted many of the Kopecki family on Find A Grave website before her death. (Thank heaven they will not be lost.)

DEATH: 5 December 2009. San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas.
BURIAL: Mission Burial Park North, San Antonio, Bexar Co., TX. Find A Grave memorial 33368479 added 29 January 2008 by West Texas Angel "Lisa".
A second FAG memorial, 67891486, has her buried in Saint Anna Catholic Cemetery, Kosiusko, Wilson Co., TX. This was a family cemetery, but believe she was buried in San Antonio.

"Judy leaves behind her beloved children: Julie and husband Jamie Kormos of Fort Worth; Paul Slate of Fort Worth; and Jenny Slate of Houston. One grandchild, Caitlyn Taylor Kormos."
"She also leaves behind a brother-in-law, James Slate and wife Sally; a sister-in-law, Mary Havranek and husband Rich; her nephews, great-nephews, and great-nieces; as well as many beloved first cousins and extended family."
"A rosary will be recited on Friday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m., in the Mission Park Funeral Chapels North in San Antonio. Her funeral will be held in St. Matthew's Catholic Church in San Antonio on Saturday at 10 a.m."
