Mrs. Emma D. Hightower, age 91, of Lovvorn Lane, Roopville, passed away Friday January 1, 2010. Mrs. Hightower was born April 7, 1918 in Troup County, Ga. to the late George W. Daniel and Emma Fannie Reeves Daniel. Mrs. Hightower was a homemaker and a member of Roopville Baptist Church. Besides her parents Mrs. Hightower was preceded in death by her husband Ray Hightower; daughter Peggy Raye Hightower; twin sister Fannie Daniel; Step mother Viola Moore Daniel; sister Thelma Bice. Survivors include half sister Doris Market of LaGrange; half brother George W. Daniel of Cuthbert, Ga.; Nieces Jackie Phillips and Marie Smallwood; Nephew Cecil Bice and special friends J.W. & Helen Wood.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday January 3, 2010 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Fred Cooke officiating. Interment will follow in the Roopville City Cemetery.
