Alma Pearl Renfro, 84, passed away Friday April 1, 2011 at Topeka Presbyterian Manor. She was born February 4, 1927 in Blue Mound, Kansas the daughter of Harold and Mary (Clark) Rogers. She graduated from Blue Mound High School in 1944 and then attended secretarial school in Kansas City. On February 8, 1947 she married Charles F. Renfro in Topeka, Kansas. He survives. Alma was a homemaker and seamstress. She was a member of Mayetta United Methodist Church, The United Methodist Women, EHU, and was a church quilter. Alma is survived by: her husband, Charles Renfro, of Topeka, KS; her son Dale (Connie) Renfro of Onaga, KS; her daughters, Joyce Hopkins (Steve) of New Strawn, KS and Marcia Stithem (Randy) of Hoyt, KS; her sister-in-law Jean Rogers of Ft. Scott, KS; her brother-in-law, Joe Pasia of Topeka, KS; her eight grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Edith Shaw, Violet Thompson, Marguerite Wright, Kathleen Getty and Mary Pasia and her brothers, Clark, Charles and Thomas Rogers. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday April 5, 2011 at Mayetta United Methodist Church with burial following in Mayetta Cemetery. The family will greet friends Monday evening from 6-7:00 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Memorials are suggested to Mayetta United Methodist Church and may be left in care of Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, 66436.
