My 3rd Great-Uncle. 4th great-grandson of Godfrey I and Mary Ragsdale.

The Washington Gazette, Saturday, October 6, 1894:
"William Ragsdale, commonly known as 'Uncle Billy' died suddenly of heart trouble at his home in Veale Township Tuesday morning at 8 o'clock. Mr. Ragsdale was sixty-eight years old and spent most of his life in this county. he was a well known and highly esteemed citizen. He was a father of the wife of the late James C. Veale."

Note: Son, William H. left a will, the contents of which made a news item in the Washington Democrat (IN). "William H. Ragsdale, who had lived for a few years in Kansas, left a will which devised one-half his estate to his mother. One-fourteenth went to his brothers James E., George B., Charles B. and John C. and his sisters Laura Smith Horn and Addie Ragsdale."
