Betty Ann (Farmer) Knuckles, a resident of Disappointment Valley passed away on October 16, 2002 at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction CO. She was 53.
Funeral Services were held Sunday, October 20, 2002 at the West End Community Church in Naturita CO. Sammy Keeton officiated. Interment was at the Nucla Cemetery.
Mrs. Knuckles was born to Robert E. Lee and Verna Olga (Mauer) Farmer on May 30, 1949 in Altamont UT. She attended school in Nucla and the Upper Disappointment Valley. Mrs. Knuckles lived in Western San Miguel and Montrose counties all her life.
On May 4, 1968 in Cortez CO, she married Ronny D. Knuckles. They were blessed with three children.
Mrs. Knuckles was employed as head housekeeper at the New Sheridan Inn in Telluride CO and also at the Pennington's Inn in Mountain Village. She enjoyed fishing, camping, working in her yard, Hunting Indian artifacts, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Betty Ann Knuckles is survived by her husband, Ronny and son Denver both of Disappointment Valley. a daughter, Roni (James) Lynch of Montrose CO; her Father and Mother; Robert E. Lee and Verna Olga Farmer of Redvale CO, a brother, Tom (Jenna) Farmer of Redvale; a sister, Gail Marie Hamlin of Montana, four grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Verna; a brother, Alvin, and a sister Rayma.
Cortez Four Corners Funeral Chapel, Hale and Gerken served the family.
