Elizabeth's mother died in Ephraim, Utah a few weeks after Elizabeth was born.
Elizabeth's father, John, decided to take his other children to their maternal grandparents in Provo, Utah. Elizabeth was too little for him to care for on the trip, so he left her with the Allred family for a short time.
After working in Provo for a while, John was sent to help settle Sevier County; so he picked up Elizabeth Jane from Ephraim and took all his children to Glenwood, Utah.
It was there that Elizabeth died and was buried at the age of 1 year and 10 months.
