LINCOLN - F. Rhoden Libby 92, husband of the late Dorothy (Wescott) Libby, died peacefully Sept 27, 2007, in the good hands of the nice people at Penobscot Valley Hospital. He was born April 8, 1915, in Lincoln, the son of Leroy L. and Lora G. (Puffer) Libby. Rhoden retired from the Lincoln paper mill, after many years of service. He served the Methodist Church as janitor for a time. In his younger days, he loved to hunt, and was an avid fisherman, knowing the Junior Lake and Grand Lake area like the back of his hand. He liked to take rides on old back roads, and knew all of them in the State of Maine. He also loved to ride on trains. Rhoden always accepted the challenges life gave to him, and got on with his life.

He is survived by two sons and their wives, Michael and Barbie of Lincoln; and Leroy and Betty of Plantsville, Conn.; 12 grandchildren, Darci, Terry and Jeanine; Lisa, Leah and Jae; John, Tim and Kathy; and Michaeleen, Heath and Ryan; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. He also had a special place in his heart for Nan.

In addition to his wife, Dorothy, he was predeceased by a son, R. Eugene, a granddaughter, Margaret, and a sister, Lillian.
A graveside service will be held at the Lincoln Cemetery. (Clay Funeral Home on-line)
