Pembroke - Harry Quinton Sikes, 67, died Thursday at his sister's home in Savannah after a long illness. He was a native of Bryan County, a veteran of World War II, a retired project engineer for the Department of Transportation, a member of the First Baptist Church of Pembroke, a past master treasurer and director of work for Pembroke Lodge 469 F&AM, a member of the York Rite Bodies, past commander of Palestine Commandery Number 7 of Saannah, member of Scottish Rites Consistory Valley of Savannah, an Alee Temple Shriner, Knights of Mecca, and a past district deputy of the First Masonic Disrict to the grand master of Georgia. He was also a member and helf offices in the Eastern Star, a member of Fidelity Chapter 385 Order of the Eastern Star, was active in Masonic and Eastern Star work and traveled throughout the state to assist other lodges.

Survivors include a brother, James W. Sikes Jr., Pembroke, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Fleming and Mrs. Ruby Hill, both of Pembroke, and Mrs. Helen Norris, Savannah.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dan Bryant officiating. Burial will be in North Side Cemetery with full Masonic rites.
