Early Life: Max was born September 26, 1918, in Eureka, Utah, to George Albert and Florence White Simkins. Max was a hard worker his entire life, starting as a young boy working at the sugar factory and delivering a morning newspaper. He grew up in Springville, Utah, graduating from Springville High School.
Life’s Work | Service | Interests: On October 4, 1943, Max married Norda Christensen in the Salt Lake Temple. They have enjoyed 53 wonderful years together. He was a kind and loving man. He dedicated his life to his family and to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission to South Africa as well as serving in three bishoprics and many other church auxiliaries. Max served his country honorably for four years with the United States Air Force during World War II. He worked for the United States Postal Service for 30 years in Provo, Utah. Max White Simkins departed from this mortal life February 17, 1996. He died quietly at his home, the place he loved most and where he was always happiest to be. He was 77.
Survived By: His wife, Norda; his two sons: Douglas Max and James Charles Simkins; his sisters: Fern Greenwood, Marjorie Berrett and Virginia Clegg. He was the proud grandfather of nine grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
Preceded In Death By: His parents and sister, Marie.
