Barbara M. Arment was born in Oakland Calif., on April 24, 1914. The final page of the last chapter of her life was turned on November. 20, 2007. She was 93 when Charles passed on in 2004. They had been married for 67 years.She is survived by sister, Olive Orr; niece, Jean Beard; daughter, Jacquie Flecklin; son-in-Law, Noel Flecklin grandson, Paul Flecklin and wife Betty Flecklin; great- granddaughters, Natalie and Sarah Flecklin; grandson, Matt Flecklin; great-grandson, Lane Flecklin; granddaughter, Nancy Odom and husband David Odom; great-grand- daughters, Laurel and Kendall Odom; and great-grandson, Ryan Flecklin. Predeceased by grandson Andrew Flecklin.She attended San Francisco State until her marriage to Charles. His vocation as a forester gave them the opportunity to live in many places in California, Oregon, Hawaii, and Colorado. Barbara was very active in PTA, Community Affairs, Society of American Foresters wives, Eastern Star and Beta Sigma Phi, wherever they lived.She worked out of the home as a librarian for many years and passed her love of books on to her family. Her skills and abilities at needlecraft, knitting, and sewing were semi professional and there were always plenty of home canned goodies on the shelves. Her sense of humor and ability to have fun were always uplifting. She was a master at contract bridge and did not like to lose. Although her last few years were clouded by Alzheimer's we all will remember that kind, bright, funny and talented little lady in her best years as our Mom, Grandma , Great-grandma, Sister, and Aunt.
