To-day [sic] we attended the funeral of A. G. Ramsey at his new home on Mill Creek. Mr. Ramsey was born and raised near Indianapolis, Ind., and was forty-seven years old at his death. He settled in this county about twenty-two years ago, on the Marmaton, where he lived until recently. He was regarded as one of the most honorable of men, always found the same, obliging and ever ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. He most surely lived as nearly the principles of Christianity as taught by Christ as mortal man ever attain.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. B. Saxe. The discourse was an able one, fully portraying the glorious hope of a world's salvation.
He leaves a wife and four children, who will miss a kind hearted husband and father. May they keep in memory the life of honesty and industry that he has led, and all will be well with them.
