Located by a divining rod, the body of Mrs. MARIAN LOUISE TRACEY, 222 South Carroll Street, was recovered from the Monocacy River. The body was found floating at the surface of the river, approximately 300 feet below the bridge.

The drowned woman was 23 years of age, the wife of Ralph J. Tracey and the mother of two infant children, Ralph E. and Janet L. Tracey, at home. She was the daughter of George L. Fisher and the late Catherine Stottlemyer Fisher, this city. Also surviving are three brothers and three sisters: Guy, Wilson and Luther Fisher, all of Frederick; Mrs. James Hebb, Mrs. Lloyd Clark, both of near Hagerstown; and Mrs. Mildred Beall, Ceresville.
